One thing I really like about this book was that, even though it is a Christian self-help book, the author states, "I write this book from a Christian point of view because it's my personal belief that Jesus is the reason I stand free from pornography today. That being said it is very Jesus-centric but not enough to be a huge turn off for most non-Christians. This little manual contains, personal stories, writing prompts, surveys, tests, resources, testimonies, and more. I'm sure it is a massive help for those coping with pornography addiction.

One of the best things I like about Dirty Girls Come Clean is that it is interspersed with stories of women, real women, who have overcome, who have come clean, who have been there, done that and emerged victorious.
Scars are a sign that healing from something traumatic has taken place. What better story could be told than one of a healed and redeemed life? For women addicted to pornography, the book is hope packaged in a paperback. Thanks for your courage in sharing your story, Crystal.

The truths that this book shares are gripping, and I could relate to so much of it. I read this book in 2 days, it got me that much! Crys I read a lot. I was especially moved by being forced to examine WHY and to move forward. Not only did Dirty Girls Come Clean give me hope and strength to keep going in my own personal battles, but it drew me closer to God, and thanking him for what he brought me out of.

He went into a short lived remission and was given a year to live but it came back with such aggression that he lost his life within a matter of a few months.
He was so filled with peace and grace of God that he never once said whoa is me or why me. He battled and stayed forever faithful in God…all the way to the end. He is such an inspiration and the flood of stories that came to show his reverence and love for the Lord was inspiring as well. He keeps me in awe every time I think of him. I would have to say my mom insprires me the most, she is very carefree, happy and walks with the lord! It would be nice to read someone elses struggle with it! I would love to say my parents inspire me most, but the truth is…I come from a broken home, full of chaos, and lacking love. That being said, the person who inspires me my boss who is like a second mom to me. She has taught me virtually everything I know about Biblical womanhood and she was the first person I opened up to about my silent struggle pornography and masturbation.
That was about a year and a half ago and never once treated me like I was weird or a freak which is what I had been afraid of for all these years from age now at age I would love to read this book because it is so important to remember that even though I feel isolated and very alone in this struggle, I am not alone and that I can learn from and walk beside others on the same journey to purity that I am on. Tomorrow I will celebrate 10 weeks clean from porn. When I get to heaven, I want to be covered in battle scars from fighting the good fight instead of being covered in the pristine skin of compromise.
